Me 262A2a-U2
Well, that is two non-Luftwaffe projects completed, and it's about time I went back to my comfort zone for the next project. For this, my victim will be a 1/32 Trumpeter Me 262A1a fighter kit that I will be converting to the Me 262A2a-U2 bomber version. Ok, I know I'm starting with an A1a fighter, and not the A2a kit, but the airframes are identical for this purpose. I just need to add a set of bomb pylons.
For this model, I'll also be using the excellent Aires resin Cockpit & Wheel Bay set, as well as the Radu Brinzan bomber resin conversion kit. My intentions are to also super-detail one engine and mount it below the wing totally un-cowled. For this, a little ingenuity is going to have to be used, as well as some pictures I recently took of the 262 at the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
